High-level Roundtable on boosting the use of blockchain technologies in the EU

The EU Blockchain Roundtable held a meeting on November 20th in Brussels on the topic of “Bringing industries together for Europe to lead in blockchain technologies” in the presence of Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society, Mariya Gabriel, and Director-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology, Roberto Viola. The Roundtable aims to gather support among EU industry leaders and policy makers to develop an EU-wide strategy to explore the full potential of blockchain technologies in different sectors.

The conference was also an occasion to announce the launch, beginning of 2019, of the “International Association for Trusted Blockchain Applications” that will be open to any organisations willing to work on the deployment of innovative distributed ledger technologies.
